Apple Cider Fritters is a delicious recipe we enjoy in the fall that I make using my dad’s fresh apple cider. I’m not sure there is a better way to welcome in Autumn than by enjoying one of these lovelies.

When I think of apple fritters, I think of donuts. They’re sweet. Like a dessert. This recipe includes ground cinnamon, a sweet glaze, small pieces of apple, and my dad’s homemade apple cider. Oh my, and yes please!

Have I mentioned before that my dad likes to harvest apples in the fall to make apple cider? He uses one of those big old-fashioned apple presses and freezes the juice in bottled containers. Then he shares cider with all of his children and grandchildren at Christmas or whenever the urge strikes! My husband loves drinking the fresh cider while I enjoy it best in a hot mulled drink. I love to use it in several recipes made special for fall. Like these fritters! See my Apple Cider Recipes Here.

What is a Fritter?

A fritter is simply food that has been dipped in a batter and deep fried. Like corn fritters, or recently I’ve been seeing lots of recipes for zucchini fritters. See my recipe for Zucchini Fritters with Ranch Dip Here.

I also have a donut and apple fritter recipe that uses sourdough.
